CloudGaming

DISCOVER Lab releases an open source cloud gaming testbed the screen capturing module of which is fundamentally a DirectShow filter and, hence, can be tuned for any DirectShow compatible video game. It also facilitates the measurement of delay and video quality.

DISCOVER Lab has been successful in winning a highly competitive NSERC Strategic research grant in "Cloud-supported Adaptive Streaming of Videos", lead by Simon Fraser University, to work with Cisco Canada to design and implement novel algorithms and systems for future cloud-supported video systems, which will offer feature-rich and modern video content to large-scale heterogeneous users over wired and 4G/5G wireless networks.
